\nAfter the National Council unanimously took note of the report and approved it, the report was also unanimously taken note of and approved by the Council of States. The matter is thus concluded.<\/p>\n

National Council<\/h2>\n

24.073<\/a>\u00a0Implementation and financing of the initiative for a 13th AHV pension<\/strong>
\nAfter the Council of States approved the detailed consultation in the 2024 winter session and spoke out in favour of a single 13th AHV pension at the end of the year (instead of twelve distributed pension payments), the bill was debated in the National Council in the 2025 spring session. The National Council also approved the payment of a single 13th AHV pension. In the final vote, the bill was also approved.<\/p>\n

24.057<\/a>\u00a0Double taxation agreement with Angola<\/strong>
\n24.059<\/a>\u00a0Double taxation agreement with Germany<\/strong>
\n24.062<\/a>\u00a0Double taxation agreement with Jordan<\/strong>
\n24.088<\/a>\u00a0Double taxation. Agreement with Hungary<\/strong>
\nThe four double taxation agreements on the agenda were adopted by the National Council with different numbers of votes in favour. The committee in charge had previously recommended the four agreements for approval. In the final vote, the agreements with Angola, Germany and Jordan were approved. The agreement with Hungary now goes to the Council of States.<\/p>\n

24.082\u00a0<\/a>For a social climate policy \u2013 fairly financed through taxation (Initiative for a future). Popular initiative<\/strong>
\nThe Juso initiative, which has already been the subject of much discussion in advance, calls for a 50% tax on inheritances of over CHF 50 million, but fails to win a majority in the National Council and is rejected. The bill will now go to the Council of States.<\/p>\n

21.082<\/a>\u00a0Code of Civil Procedure. Amendment<\/strong>
\nThe National Council decides not to proceed with the bill to introduce class actions. It is thus following the recommendation of its committee. The matter will next go to the Council of States.<\/p>\n

24.069<\/a>\u00a0Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement between the EFTA States and the Republic of India. Approval<\/strong>
\nThe National Council has also approved the free trade agreement with India. In the final vote, the agreement was approved.<\/p>\n

21.432<\/a>\u00a0Laying the foundations for a CO2 border adjustment system<\/strong>
\nThe National Council has decided to extend the deadline until the 2027 spring session.<\/p>\n

Council of States<\/h2>\n

23.086<\/a>\u00a0Investment Control Act<\/strong>
\nThe Council of States has followed the minority view of the committee and decided to consider the proposal for an investment screening law. Thus, the proposal for detailed discussion is being send back to the committee.<\/p>\n

23.3224\u00a0<\/a>Institutional reform of the Competition Commission<\/strong>
\nThe Council of States follows the Commission’s recommendation and approves the implementation of the motion on the institutional reform of the Competition Commission and postulates the separation of the investigation and decision making body. Thus, the matter goes to the National Council Commission.<\/p>\n
